Last weekend the hubby and I went to see Crank: Hight Voltage and as we sat watching the 20 minutes of previews they now show before each movie I was actually excited that I saw the preview for Terminator Salvation. Despite the fact the only thing I have ever really known about the Terminator series is "I'll be back" this movie really caught my attention. I told my hubby that we had to see that movie but before we could I wanted to get caught up on the story.
Right now the hubby and I are on our last four episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and I am in love with this show! It has gone far beyond my expectations of what I thought could be done with this series and for that matter the Terminator franchise. Each episode is action packed with a strong story line. The characters have been perfectly cast which many times can be a breaking point for a show. I just can't say enough about the series.
Anyway, on my search to see when season three would be coming out I came across many blogs speculating that the show might be canceled Why does it seem the second I fall in love with a show it gets canceled? All these lame reality show continue to stick around getting picked up season after season *cough*AmericanIdol*cough* and yet when a good show comes around it never sticks. Why can't networks realize what people really want to watch? Lets think about this for a minute. If a network moved American Idol to the dreaded Friday night spot, where Terminator is now, I bet the show would have bombed after just a couple of seasons. Lets face it people go out on the weekends and don't stay home just to watch TV. Sure people might Tivo or dvr the shows but those ratings of course don't count do to the fact that sponsors know people skip the commercials.
Well, I would love to blog longer about this but the kids are in bed and it is quality time with the hubby now! My only hope is that this show will continue for a third season as I know many questions will be left unanswered. Lets keep our fingers crossed!
